As the SARS-COV-2 Virus (COVID-19) has evolved in the past 2 years, so have the variety of potential treatments available to fight it. Vaccines, anti-bodies, and antivirals are now only a few of the treatments available to patients that have tested positive. Through clinical trials & clinical experience, the catalog of treatment available has evolved to better address the specific needs of each patient's unique symptoms and severity. Different risk categories, based on each patient's unique medical history, have been published to help predict the potential severity of symptoms. The number of deaths from COVID-19 globally has been significantly reduced and treatment outcomes have improved. WHO (World Health Organization) Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told journalists in a weekly briefing in September of 2022:
"We have never been in a better position to end the pandemic".
